Things to Do on Table Rock Lake & Near Long Creek Marina
The Long Creek arm is one of the prettiest, least-crowded stretches of Table Rock — here's how to spend your days on and around the water.
Table Rock Lake spreads across more than 43,000 acres of clear Ozark water, and the Long Creek arm — the cabin's home water — is one of its quietest, most scenic corners. You're about 10 minutes from a full-service marina and under a mile from a beach, so most days you can be on the water before the rest of Branson has finished breakfast.
Boating, rentals & lake tours at Long Creek Marina
Long Creek Marina, operated through Big Cedar Lodge, is the closest launch point to the cabin. You'll find:
- Boat and watercraft rentals — pontoons, ski boats, and personal watercraft
- Fishing services and local guides
- Water-ski and wakeboard instruction
- Guided lake tours and dinner cruises on the water
No boat of your own? A rental for a day is the single best way to see the lake's hidden coves and swimming spots.
Swimming beaches & the creek
The cabin's own private creek out back is perfect for kids skipping stones or a quiet morning coffee. For open water, a private beach is under a mile away, and Cricket Creek Recreation Area on the Arkansas shore has a public swimming beach, a boat launch and courtesy dock, a volleyball court, a playground, and camping.
Fishing
Table Rock is a nationally known bass fishery — largemouth, smallmouth, and spotted (Kentucky) bass — plus crappie, catfish, and white bass. Hire a guide out of Long Creek Marina, or launch early and work the coves yourself. Spring and fall are prime.
For the adventurous
The lake has several well-known cliff-jumping spots for strong, experienced swimmers — around Long Creek, Battleship Point, and Baxter. Skiers chasing a clean run head to the Cow Creek slalom course. Always check depth and conditions and wear a life jacket.
Beyond the water
Rainy day or a break from the lake? A few nearby options:
- Big Cedar Lodge & Top of the Rock — Ozarks scenery, dining, and golf a short drive away
- Eureka Springs, AR (about 45 minutes) — a historic mountain arts town with galleries, caves, and Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge
- Roberson Orchards & Farm Market for seasonal Ozark produce, jams, and jellies
- And of course Branson and Silver Dollar City, about 25 minutes away
